“Our Soil, Our Selves: Our Common Ground”

FUUSB Climate Justice Team
Geoff Duke, Worship Associate

During mud season, and with our Soul Matters theme of Interdependence, the Climate Justice Team invites you to celebrate Earth Day. They will be leading a worship service that invites you to reconsider your relationship with soil, with the ground beneath our bodies, with the source of all life as we know it.

Join us for worship at 10 a.m. in person in the Sanctuary, or online. Find the livestream link and order of service on the Live-Streamed Worship page, or go to our YouTube channel.

After the service, join us at 11:15 a.m. in the Susan B. Anthony Room for a screening and discussion of the documentary “Common Ground.” A film that fuses “journalistic exposé with deeply personal stories from those on the front lines of the food movement, ‘Common Ground’ unveils a dark web of money, power, and politics behind our broken food system. The film reveals how unjust practices forged our current farm system in which farmers of all colors are literally dying to feed us.”

Following the service, all are welcome to Coffee Hour in the Community Room.

While at the Meeting House, anyone is welcome to wear a mask. In the spirit of caring for each other, please stay home if you have any cold or flu symptoms. Thank you.
