Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, FUUSB offices are currently closed for in-person business.
When we reopen the Meeting House, our business office will generally be open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 am-12 pm and 1-3 pm, and Sundays 9 am-12 pm. If you stop by during those hours and find our door locked, please ring our doorbell to see if there is someone here who can assist you.
There is a handicapped parking space located behind the northeast side of the building Monday through Saturday. On Sunday mornings and for larger events, all parking spaces along the back (north) wall of the Meeting House, the two spaces facing the white Clarke Street house, and one space next to the ramp are all reserved for people with handicapped parking stickers.
There is a ramp and an automated door opener located on the east side of the building. Upon entering through this door, you will find an elevator that will allow you to enter every level of the building excluding the Sanctuary balcony area.
All restrooms are accessible. Gender diversity is welcomed here. All are welcome to use the restroom that best fits their identity. All-Gender restrooms are located on the lower level of the Meeting House.
Sound amplification devices are located at the first-floor office. There are large-print hymnals and magnification sheets available at the rear of the Sanctuary. We have Braille hymns available in the first pew of the east side of the Sanctuary each Sunday.
Visitors may park in the oval parking area on the east side of the Meeting House. There is additional parking in the lot behind the building, and in the city lot on Elmwood Avenue. You can get to the Elmwood Avenue lot by leaving the church parking lot through the west exit and turning right. The lot is immediately on your left.
If all of these spots are filled, there is street parking available, and also a city parking garage located on North Winooski Avenue.
Evenings & Weekends
You may use the Society parking lot on weekday evenings and weekends.
Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., we rent out spaces in our parking lot to people who work downtown. Anyone without a current parking tag will be towed from the lot during these times. During these same hours, the oval parking area on the east side of the Meeting House is reserved for members who have purchased a parking tag or for people attending a meeting at the Meeting House.
Member Parking Tags are for short-term parking (3 hours or less) Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Annually in September, tags are available for purchase or renewal by emailing our Society Administrator, Mary Williams, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We currently do not have weekday non-member parking spots available and have closed our waiting list. If this situation should change, we will post it on our website. There is no overnight parking on our property. Vehicles left in our lot overnight will be towed.
For parking or facilities questions, please contact our Facilities Manager, David McFeeters, at email@example.com, or (802) 862-5630, ext. 2300.
Our Google Maps link offers you door-to-door directions for driving, walking, biking, or public transit.
Information on taking the bus to the FUUSB can be found here. There is plenty of bike parking onsite should you choose to ride.
