Solstice Light Garden

Date/Time
Date(s) - 12/20/20
4:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Even if we cannot gather in person this holiday season, perhaps we can create something beautiful together as a congregation, shine our lights together in the darkness? On the afternoon of Sunday, December 20, in celebration of the winter solstice, we will create our first Solstice Light Garden on the grounds adjacent to the oval driveway. From 4:30-7 p.m. households or individuals will be able to wander through the glowing landscape we have created together, or drive through if preferred.

We are hoping everyone can bring a light in the days leading up to the display! (We’ll do the set-up and supply the candles.) Ideas range from the very basic 5-minute version of the milk jug luminaria and simple ice lanterns, to more elaborate decorated lanterns, so all should be able to contribute as their bandwidth allows. Click here for instructions! Large cans to use as molds can be picked up outside the Clarke Street entrance of the Meeting House anytime during the week of Dec. 13. Contact Erika with questions, [email protected].
