Pride & 1st Sunday Anti-Racism Interfaith Vigil
This Sunday is the annual Burlington LGBTQ+ Pride Parade and Festival as well as our monthly 1st Sunday Anti-Racism Interfaith Vigil, when we join other faith communities in Burlington and around Vermont in standing together in faith against racism. This year, we will honor the LGBTQ+ People of Color who have been a part of the movement for full inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community since the beginning. We join together for the full celebration and inclusion of all LGBTQ+ people and in rejection of racism, both within the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.
Please join us Sunday, September 5 at 12:30 p.m. on the lawn in front of the Meeting House along Pearl Street in watching and cheering on the parade! We will have pride flags and a banner and many signs from our regular Love & Justice signs, but you’re invited to bring your own as well. Please plan on wearing a mask and maintaining safe distance. Some may choose to follow the parade down to Battery Park to enjoy the Pride Festival.
