Unitarian Universalists celebrate diversity in experience and theology, and covenant to learn from each other in our free and responsible search for truth and meaning. We UUs also value science and reason, which may seem at odds with ideas like enchantment and mystery. Yet encounters with mystery and magic are part of many spiritual traditions. Geoff reflects on his UU/Pagan spiritual journey, and how finding moments of enchantment help to deepen his sense of interconnection with the web of all life.

Geoff Duke is a FUUSB member and one of our congregation’s Worship Associates. He lives with his family in the foothills of Mt. Mansfield where he practices his eclectic Pagan spirituality, a path he’s been following since the late 1980s. This past year, he participated in a UUA-sponsored class on writing and delivering sermons.

 

Please join us for Sunday morning worship at 10 a.m., which will be held outdoors at the First UU Society each week through the beginning of September. The service will also be live-streamed. Summer Garden Childcare will be available in the Memorial Garden. Following the service, all are welcome to Outdoor Coffee Hour.

There will be chairs, but feel free to bring your own portable chair, or a blanket if you’d like to sit on the ground. While at the Meeting House, anyone is welcome to wear a mask. In the spirit of caring for each other, please stay home if you have any cold or flu symptoms. Thank you.

 

In the event of inclement weather, Sunday services, childcare, and coffee hour will move indoors.
