Michelle Hogle Acciavatti- Guest Speaker
TBD – Worship Associate
Our dead ask two things of us: that we remember them and that we live. The families our guest speaker has met at Vermont Forest Cemetery have taught her that grief is a way of loving and that mourning includes gratitude and joy. The stories shared in today’s service will highlight how we carry our dead with us even in the most ordinary acts of living.
Michelle Hogle Acciavatti, MS is a deathworker, storyteller, mother, and the founder of Vermont Forest Cemetery. Her work focuses on caring for the dying and dead at home, returning their bodies to the earth, and how natural burial can address the needs of mourners, conservation, and the living.
