Pastoral Care Associates
Tuesday, June 2, 2020
This week’s meditation, “Footsteps,” is brought to you by Rodney Lowe.
A new meditation will be posted every Tuesday.
At First Unitarian Universalist Society of Burlington, caring for each other and our community is a part of our mission. Although caring for each other is everyone’s work, the Pastoral Care Associate Team, a group of specially trained congregation volunteers, is a formal way our Society supports members and friends of our community. Team members provide a listening presence during times of transition and challenge such as a death in the family, a health crisis or some other difficult issue.
If you are experiencing one of these difficult times in your life and wish to talk with a Pastoral Care Associate, please call our Developmental Senior Minister Rev. Tricia Hart at 862-5630, ext. 2400 and leave a confidential message. Rev. Hart will make a referral to a team leader and you will receive a call to facilitate a meeting.
Pastoral Care Team members include Jan Abbott, Deanna Anderson, Brenda Dupuis, Cheryl Haller, Sarah Russell and Ken Swearingen. Leaders are Martha Molpus and Linda Graves.
Should you find yourself in a place of extreme crisis and in need of immediate assistance, please call 911 or Howard Center Adult Crisis Hotline, 802-488-6400.
