 Who among us has nothing left to learn? No one.


Who among us has something to teach? Everyone. It might sound trite, but I absolutely believe it.

I don’t know who first used the term, “the congregation is the curriculum,” but this is the truth you get when you apply developmental theory to religious education. It’s true. The congregation IS the curriculum. We are the learning, we are what is learned, we are the learners. And so are those whom we recently sang out of the sanctuary.

Learning Disabilities and Gifts: by Sharon Leach

 I am up here today to talk to you all about my experiences working with people of all ages to better understand how they learn. During the weekdays I am what is called a neuropsychologist, that is someone who has learned a bit about how the brain and our behavior and emotions are related to each other. And I get to learn about how many different ways there are to do all the things we like to do. I get to basically play with peoples brains and at the same time hang out with some really cool kids who many times I have trouble keeping up with and who never cease to impress and amaze me.
